Time sure does go by fast. Ammon is already two months old and I have no idea where the time has gone! I feel like he is growing up way too fast. He can smile now and holds his head up all by himself. He is starting to like the tub and likes to have the water running. He thinks that is pretty cool. He also really likes to be naked which hopefully he will grow out of :) He sure is getting fat and has a double chin and has little rolls on his thighs. He is starting to sleep better too. I go back to work on January 2nd and I am NOT excited at all. I used to think moms who cried when they went back to work were dumb, but I can see why they do now. Being a mom has changed me into a different person. I don't know what I was doing with my life before I became a mom but I feel like I have found my purpose now. It seriously is the best thing in the world and I wouldn't trade it for anything :)

Today I gave Ammon his first bath. It didn't go exactly how I thought it would go. He seemed to really like the water at first but as soon as I got his hair wet he started screaming. After his bath I put him in a clean diaper and some fresh clean clothes. of course right after that he totally exploded in his diaper :) then right after that he spit up so hard that it came out of his nose and all over his clean clothes. so much for giving him a bath. total waste of time :)

50 Miles...

Yesterday I went and watched my sister Kenzie run a 50 mile race. 50 MILES!!!! I can't even run twenty feet without wanting to pass out. She started at 5:00 am and ended around 3:45 pm. I am very proud of her and a little jealous to be honest. How many people can say that they ran 50 miles straight????

Pet Peeves as of late....

I've noticed lately that I've turned into a nasty old hag these last few weeks. I'm blaming it on the out of control hormones but maybe I really am turning into a hag for reals. Who knows?? Anyways these are my pet peeves as of late. ..

#1: The one upper..... I absolutely hate when your telling a story and somebody has to ruin it with a better one. Drives me nuts. for example.... Me: "yeah I've had kidney stones before. They were really really painful." Other person: "You think that's bad.. Try having kidney stones while going through chemo." Me: "hmmmm.. Well I guess I can't top that one. (thanks for ruining my story.")

#2: Peoples unnecessary comments.... Why do people insist on saying things that are just random and inappropriate?? I swear when you become pregnant people think it's ok to say stupid stuff to you. for example...
a) "Wow Mckelle you sure are chunking out"
b) "your just getting poochier and poochier everyday"
c) (Three weeks before my due date) "your still here??!!"
d) "Look how big your getting"
It's comments like these that makes me want to go psycho and punch everybody in the face.

#3: I hate shopping at Walmart for two reasons.
Reason #1: People don't even look when they cross the street. They just go. They randomly appear out of nowhere and just walk right in front of you like they own the place. At least look when you cross the street people!
Reason #2: Why did Walmart build 30 checkout stands when they only open like 3 total??? I hate standing in line for an hour when I only have one item. Walmart sucks.

#4: It really bothers me when you can see ear wax coming out of someones ears. Apparently good hygiene isn't a priority to them. How hard is it to clean your ears every once in awhile eh??

Cody and I have done alot of camping this summer. We went with my family and then we went the very next week by ourselves. Our plan was to camp in Box Elder campground but when we got there it was full. So we drove around and found a perfect spot by Hyrum. It was very secluded and the best part was that it was free :) We had alot of fun and it was nice to just relax. Of course my camera died right when we got there but I managed to take a few pictures before it did. We even saw a deer with its little baby. so cute.

Extreme Couponing..

If you haven't seen the show Extreme Couponing you definetly need to! I watched it once and decided I needed to start using coupons. I've only been doing it for a few weeks but I am already getting addicted to it. Lame I know. It's actually really fun to see how much you can save. For example: Today I got cereal for .75 cents a box. I am pretty excited about that because cereal is so dang expensive and we go through it quick. I also bought a bunch of toothpaste for around .25 cents a tube. You can get it free all the time but I'm still trying to figure that out I guess. It's been fun using coupons and if you don't use them now, I would highly recommend it. thekrazycouponlady.com has good tips. also, couponmom.com has lots of free printable coupons.

Baby Dresser

After weeks and weeks of searching I finally found a dresser at the DI that was in semi good condition. I figured it would be cheaper to buy one there and refinish it instead of buying a brand new dresser. Those things can get expensive! Anyways this is how it turned out. I am quite proud of myself. Cody helped too. We were both a little paranoid about breathing in those fumes. If my baby comes out with three eyeballs I blame it on the spray paint :)

Targeted Ultrasound

Today I had my Targeted ultrasound :) This whole time I thought I was 24 weeks but I'm actually 25 weeks. I was very excited to hear that. Everything looks good though. She said he has a lot of muscle and he's stocky ha ha. I guess that's one of the Storey traits I'll have to deal with. It was very cool to see him in so much detail and it was reassuring to know that he's a healthy baby. He kicks all the time now and you can see him kick through my clothing. I'm so happy and feel so thankful to be pregnant. It's been hard dealing with my body changing the way it does when your pregnant, but I know it will be worth it in the end. Cody and I can't wait!

Yellowstone

Cody and I just got back from Yellowstone with a couple of our friends. We had a lot of fun and saw alot of animals! We really wanted to see a bear but we weren't having any luck until the very last day when we were driving out of Yellowstone. We actually saw three bears! It was so cool. We also saw elk, eagles, deer, and alot of buffalo. Those things are HUGE! We took the long way home and drove through Teton National Park. Those mountains are the prettiest mountains I have ever seen in my entire life! I think I took at least 30 pictures of just the mountains. I'm sure Cody wanted to kill me. We had so much fun and lot and lots of laughs! Our poor neighbors probably didn't get any sleep. I can't wait to go on a trip next year. Next time I'll actually be able to go hiking without getting winded after 10 feet. It was depressing :) Thank you Chris, Sheena, Bryan, and Alicia for letting us go with you guys! We had a lot of fun!!

Summer Project...

We have alot of projects to get done this summer and I'd say we are moving right along. We had a huge cotton wood tree in our backyard that always gets cotton everywhere and it needed to come out!! Nobody likes raking up cotton from their backyard every two seconds. we still need to cut the trunk down all the way but I think cody did a great job!

Cody and I woke up bright and early for the Rcwilley Memorial day sale. It opened at 9 am and we got there a little before 7 am! We ended up being the fourth people in line and oh man was it a long wait. It was worth it though. We saved over $1000 dollars! We are now proud owners of a new couch and washer and dryer.

Well..... I'm Pregnant :) I can honestly say that trying to get pregnant has been the hardest, most stressful, and emotionally exhausting thing I've ever had to go through in my life so far. I've realized though that my patience for things has grown, and I have learned to appreciate things that I took for granted. I knew once I got pregnant I would appreciate it 100 times more then if I would've got pregnant when I wanted to. I really am so grateful and I am overly excited of course for Cody and I to have a baby. It may have been longer than what I had planned, but I am thankful because I truly appreciate the fact that I can have children. Anyways.... Due November 2nd. Can't wait!

So this lady I work with told me this story awhile ago and I thought it was hilarious to I have to post it. She told me she was in Louisiana visiting her grandchildren (one is 5 and the other is 8 I think??) Anyways the older one hands her this little black thing and says "here grandma. Eat this." She looked at it and asked what it was and the boy told her to just eat it. She said it looked similar to a little seed of some sort. So she pops it her mouth and said she crunched on it for a minute and swallowed it. Then she asked..."so what was it?" ... He then tells her.." a Crawfish eyeball." ha ha ha ha disgusting and hilarious!

Wow..... two years sure does go by fast! I can't believe I've been married that long. I feel old :) Cody and I decided to celebrate our anniversary by spending a night at the Alaskan Inn. It was wonderful! We went to Olive Garden first and then headed up there to spend the night. We stayed in the room called "hook line and sinker." it actually was really cute. I think my favorite part was the breakfast they serve you in the morning. Cody was really sweet and suprised me with a new purse. He picked it out himself and he did a great job I might add :) Happy anniversary Cody! I love you.

I was trying to cut some fabric with a rotary cutter (it looks like a pizza cutter) and I thought it had a protection over the blade. well it doesn't. When I rolled the rotary cutter I had my hand on top of the blade. real smart I know. It cut to the bone. My sister and brother in law had their baby girl yesterday!! After 20 hours of being in labor she finally arrived at 4:08 pm. We definetly had to wait around for a very long time. She weighs 8 lbs 11 oz and I guessed it right on :) I'm so smart. I didn't know whether to cry because I was so happy or cry because I was just totally upset and jealous. Who knew that you could feel both of those emotions at the same time?? I am so excited for them though and can't wait to get to know Skylee better. Babies are so cute :) I want one!! (Hopefully Arlene doesn't mind the pictures)

Fremont fooball and I have a love/hate relationship. I hate it because it takes my husband away from me on weekdays until 6:00 pm and every Saturday and Sunday. Cody pretty much eats drinks and sleeps football. I honestly cannot believe how much time the coaches put into the sport. They definetly are very dedicated people. I do love football though and I am very proud of Fremont for working so hard and having the chance to go to State next week. GOOD LUCK!

Jonah my nephew was baptised today! I seriously cannot believe that he is eight years old! seriously??? where did the time go? It was very nice that we could all get together as a family and be there for his baptism. My mom gave a very cute talk on the holy ghost and my dad gave the closing prayer. Its always nice to see my dad do something like that. I am very proud of Jonah and his decision to be baptised!!

Family Halloween Party

So a little while ago I was telling Cody what swaddling meant and how you do it. (wrapping a baby up tight in a blanket). Anyways so this morning Cody went to kiss me goodbye and I told him it was cold. The next thing I know he was grabbing another blanket and tucking it up all around me. Deer Hunting...

For the first time in my entire life I went deer hunting with my hubby. I was excited but at the same time kind of not because I'm not a big fan of animals being killed. I was mainly excited for the whole camping part and spending time with cody. I can't believe how much hiking you do when you go deer hunting. We went up hills and down hills and around hills for what seemed like hours and we didn't see any bucks! We did see a bunch of doe though and we sat and looked at those for awhile. Cody kept pointing doe out to me and I must be blind because I can never see them. He sat and was looking at some with his scope for about 10 minutes before I even found them. I was so tired of walking that on Friday I hung out in the trailer and read while he went hunting by himself. He didn't see anything that time either. Long story short he called his friend and we went on some property of his and guess what...... He got one! For not liking animals being killed I sure did love watching him shoot that deer. I didn't even cry or anything :) Now i'm on this obsessive streak where I want him to shoot something else. I don't know what has come over me ha ha . This is right before I accidentally dropped his gun. oops..... He was really upset about it.

My dream is to go to Alaska on a vacation. I've been there twice when I was younger, but it was so long ago its hard to remember everything. Alot of my family lives in Juneau, Alaska so that's where I want to go. My grandpa lives there and for his 80th birthday my mom and all of her brothers and sisters went there to celebrate it. Yes everyone... I am FINALLY 21 years old! The age doesn't really matter because I don't drink, but its nice to say that I am finally 21. 20 years old sound so young to me :) My mom has my camera so I dont have any pictures. sorry. It was a nice birthday though. Cody and I got take out and watched a movie together. It was nice to just relax and spend some time together. He got me a gift certificate to get a massage. which I am really really excited about! I have wanted one for a really long time! I also got the book Mockinjay which I already finished. (I read it in one day.) Oh how I love birthdays!

Yellowstone

Last week Cody and I decided last minute to go to yellowstone with my famiy. We left Wednesday morning and picked up my brother Kaden on the way. It was alot of fun! I haven't laughed that hard for a while so it was a good trip. We went to Old Faithful and two gorgeous waterfalls in the Canyons. They were amazing! We also saw lots of wild life.
Highlights of the trip:
#1: A wolf walked right through our picnic area. It was literally about 20 feet away from us. I don't remember getting my camera out to take pictures, but I did. My sister was scrambling to grab her kids and get away. Her daughter London was screaming and crying. Her daughter Indie didn't know what was going on and was crying. I don't know what everyone else was doing, but all I know was that my husband sat there the whole time eating his sandwhich. Definetly a funny moment.

#2: Playing spoons with my family and my mom called Cody "carty". Don't know why it was so funny but I laughed really hard. I secretly think my mom peed her pants from laughing. (it was late at night and everything is more funny when your tired)

#3: The fireshow. (inside joke) It was funny at first but not so much after.

#4 Colon blow. also an inside joke. Its on SNL.

#5: Spending time with the fam. It was a lot of fun and I can't wait to do it again.

Oregon!!

Last week Cody and I, along with his parents and brother Logan went to Oregon. It was a much needed vacation and we all had so much fun! I'll recap our week for everyone...

Monday: Driving.... Driving... and more driving!! We seriously drove nonstop the whole way there! we had an occasional bathroom break or two, but other than that it was nonstop to oregon! My legs were so cramped. I'd say the highlight of that drive was when Codys dad called someone an "idiot fag retard". I laughed for a good 10minutes straight. We left around 8am and didn't get there till about 9pm.

Tuesday: We all woke up at the butt crack of dawn to go deep sea fishing. Something I was looking forward to. Seriously... I love to fish. Its probably the one and only creature I don't feel guilty about killing. I'm one of those people who catch the bugs in my house and let them free outside. Yeah i'm a freak. Anyways I caught about two fish before I started puking my guts out over the side of the boat. It was really stormy that day and the swells were like 10 feet high. I couldn't even open my eyes without getting the urge to puke. Pretty much the whole boat was throwing up. I saw two whales though so that was pretty cool. Cody ended up catching the rest of the fish and He also puked like 2 times. I stopped counting after 15... yum. More bait for the fish I guess.

Wednesday- Thursday: We were going to go fishing these two days but that was pretty much out of the question. So we basically just hung out and saw the sights of Newport. It was actually alot of fun. We went through the shops on the beach and went to Some 'Ripleys believe it or not' museum. It was actually pretty interesting. Fun Fact: The tallest man in the world was over 8 feet tall. interesting eh? I thought so. We also went to a lighthouse that overlooked the whole ocean. it was beautiful.

Friday- Saturday: These two days were basically driving to Portland and then Driving to Boise and then driving home. Yeah.. lots and lots of driving! It was a fun vacation and I can't wait to go back next year!

There is nothing like trying on a shirt in the dressing room and have it get stuck while trying to take it back off. I'm sure the image of me trying to get the shirt over my head without ripping it was priceless, and I would've been fine if my boobs were a size A. That was my main problem. I struggled for at least 3 minutes before I got it off. I ripped it in the process though. Don't worry, I put it back on the hanger like nothing happened. Yeah... i'm a rebel like that. The best part is that the shirt actually had a zipper in the back and I didn't notice until I got it back off. ..... boy i'm an idiot.

For the last two weeks Cody and I have been living in a trailer in his parents back yard. We are officially what some people call "trailer trash", and I absolutely love it! :) who would guess that I would like being crammed in a tiny space for two weeks??? It definetly has its frustrating moments, but for the most part I like it. Me and Cody get to watch movies every night together and just have a good time. Well my friends, Cody and I are moving!!! We are only moving to Harrisville but our new house is definetly an upgrade from the one we are in now. You would not believe how excited I am :) The idea of actually owning a home freaks me out but at the same time makes me really excited. I can't wait to paint! There is nothing better than having your spring break and then have it rain the ENTIRE TIME!!. .. NOT!! I have been so disappointed this whole week. I was planning on going camping, but the weather did not cooperate! It was still nice to have a break from work though.
Me and my family had an Easter party and we also did an Easter egg hunt with the little ones. It was so cute to watch them run around and help them decorate eggs. It was fun!! I love Easter and I LOVE LOVE LOVE General Conference. I say Woot Woot for spring break :)

One of my favorite singers came to Logan on Friday night and I was able to go! it was alot of fun and I even sat in the front row!! Cody didn't come with me so I went with all of my friends. It was great because Kalai told funny jokes and played really good songs. I'm glad that I went. I decided I am no longer going anywhere without Cody because all my friends wanted to hang out with boys after and they left me to drive home alone from Logan in a snow storm. Cody was upset about that. That part sucked, but the rest was great. I love music :) oh and check out the creepy bass player. He was awesome

On March 12th Cody and I had our one year anniversary!! I can't believe how fast the year went by! I can honestly say that I love Cody more now than the day I married him. I couldn't ask for a better husband and I love him so much! I can't wait to spend an eternity with him.

Cody's little brother got his mission call yesterday! He will be serving in the Lima, Peru mission, and leaves on June 9th! It was so exciting when he opened his call and even I was nervous! it was a really neat experience because he also went through the temple for his first time yesterday. He wanted to go through early so he could see Karson (cody's other brother) get married on saturday. (Yeah I know.... lots of family stuff this week) . I'm excited for Austy and can't wait for him to be a missionary. He will do a good job!

Yesterday my friends Hadlee and Spencer had their rehersal dinner for their wedding. We ate at Olive Garden (which is my favorite by the way)and it was really fun!! I didn't get any pictures because I was too busy stuffing my face. Had and Spencer looked so cute though, and so in love!! Spencer's parents surpirsed them with a honeymoon trip to Hawaii!! lucky! I can't wait for their wedding today! hope the snow dies down.

On Tuesday Cody's brother Logan came home from his mission!! He served in Panama for 2 years and is finally back. Funny fact of the day: he is my same age and we went to school together for 3 years, but i've never seen him in my life.... weird I know. So when he got off the plane it was a tad bit awkward just because we should've known each other but we didn't. it was very exciting though to see him! Cody's parents were really excited and kept crowding the stairs waiting for him to walk down. I'm glad he is back and can't wait to get to know him better!! Welcome home Logan!!

Busy Weekend...

This weekend has been pretty busy for me. Friday not so much, but Saturday was. I woke up and cleaned Saturday morning and then headed over to my friend Hadlees for yet another bridal shower. This time it was for Candice Muir who gets married on the 26th. It was a lot of fun and she got some really cute stuff.

Then Cody's grandparents picked me up and we headed to Manti to go to the Temple. Cody's brother and his soon to be wife were going to the temple for their first time. It was a really neat experience to see them there and I definetly felt the spirit. The Manti temple is so pretty!! I want to go there again sometime soon.

These last two months have been completely crazy when it comes to weddings. I swear everyone decided to get engaged at the same time or something. This year Me and Cody spend our first Christmas together being married. Its been alot of fun and I'm so happy that I get to spend many more with him. We had alot of family parties and we even went sledding on Christmas eve which was a gas. (That's what my dad called it anyway). Cody got me a new camera and I got him a shirt and a few ties. I'm lame I know. His present to me was alot cooler than what I got him.

Lunch Lady Drama...

So for those of you who don't know, I'm a lunch lady at Fremont High School and love it :) my job is full of surprises and drama constantly. Yesterday at work we made breadsticks for the kids, but we only had enough for each of them to have one. So one of the ladies typed up a paper that said . .. "please only one breadstick so everyone can have one. Thank you." well some boys came through the line and took 3 breadsticks and put them on their trays. so one of the lunch ladies (I won't say who) freaked out and told them they could only have one and got mad at them pretty bad. Anyways, today we were serving lunch and i was in the dish room mindin my own business when my boss called everyone together for a meeting. apparantly one of the kids taped up a sign by our rolls that said. . "only one roll or you will be bent over and VIOLATED." ha ha my first reaction was to laugh because I thought it was so funny! nobody else did though. everyone was pretty upset because we could get in a lot of trouble from parents and stuff if they believed we put the sign up. I thought it was hilarious!!! guess I was the only one.

Just to let everyone know, my mouse problem is not quite under control yet. The mice have out smarted us and just eat the cheese and peanut butter off of the trap and scamper away. Ew. Well we have some new home teachers and they decided to stop by and introduce themselves and teach a lesson and blah blah blah. Me and Cody sat on the couch facing the kitchen and our home teachers sat on the other couch. This one guy started to teach our lesson on a talk giving by President "Ducfdorf" aka Uchtdorf. Thats how the guy pronounced his name. ha ha oh man, I had to hold back a laugh on that one. anyways. . . while hes teaching the lesson I look up and there is a mouse on my kitchen counter. ON MY KITCHEN COUNTER!. . it kept running back and forth, back and forth all over the stove and sink and everywhere! I was praying that our home teachers wouldn't turn their heads and see it. how embarrassing would that be! It didnt' take long before I noticed that cody noticed it because he started to smile and kept looking up at our kitchen. The stupid mouse was there for a good 10 minutes before it left. by that time I was trying not to laugh because I felt so uncomfortable and awkward. Im pretty sure one of the home teachers noticed it. oh well I guess. After they left I cleaned and sprayed everything down and cody set out more mouse traps. It was a very awkward situation!

Some Friends of mine have decided to move in with me and Cody this past week. I noticed them arriving when I heard them Sqeaking in my kitchen. I have freaking mice in my house!! Ew! I have seen two of them today. I watched one run across my floor and go under my couch. Then I saw one run across my kitchen counter. I would highly recommend not eating anything in my house. I'm so grossed out!!

Camping!

Me and Cody FINALLY got to go camping this weekend. My camera is broken so I don't have any pictures, so you can just use your imagination I guess. We went somewhere up north like 2 hours away. It's where he goes deer hunting every year. It was alot of fun! we went four wheeling and made homo - I mean hobo dinners. We also saw a couple deer and I saw a bunny. It was very eventful :) Here are a couple things I learned about camping.. .

1. My type of camping is in the mountains at a campground with a out house, or some sort of bathroom device. Cody's type of camping is in the great outdoors with no bathroom for miles. Trying to pee standing up is quite a challenge. I somehow ended up half naked just trying to go to the bathroom. It was the only time in my life I wished I were a boy.

2. I've never been camping in the middle of nowhere before. There wasn't a person for miles I swear! The whole night I slept with one eye open fearing for my life. The image of a creepy insane person coming into my tent kept coming to mind. luckily Cody had a gun and made me carry one on my back when we went four wheeling.

3. Guns are heavy.

4. Nobody told me it was colder in the mountains then it is back home. I guess that's common sense, but i'm a blonde. no literally, I have blonde hair :) I only packed a light sweater and thin pants. I almost froze to death.

5. last but not least, I learned I actually can cook on a fire. Dinner was delicious.

Yes. . . I am now a lunch lady at Fremont High School! kill me. could my life get any more depressing?! :) The job doesn't sound too bad actually and who knows, maybe i'll end up loving it and working there for the rest of my life. . . forever and ever! I can pretty much walk to work since Fremont is in my back yard so i'll save some money on gas. and who doesn't love gool ol' Fremont??? I can't wait to wear my hair net and make some good old fashioned sloppy joes. Lunch lady land here I come!

I decided to give you guys a little sneak preview of my house. Well some of my house anyways. The bedroom is off limits. It is actually a pretty good size for cute little married people :) The deer antlers and indian couches are not my idea of decoration, but the couches were free and the deer antlers make you feel like your in the great outdoors!
